Where does Firefox store favourites/bookmarks ?

Real noob question but need to arrange mine better and can't for the life of me see where it keeps them.

Does the 'manage bookmarks' bit not do what you want?.

C:\documents and settings\yourusername\application data\mozilla\firefox\profiles\ .default

You'll need to be able to see system/hidden files to get there, the bookmarks are viewable in HTML

thanks, was starting to bug me, I just prefer arranging them in Windows.

EDIT: it's easier to use the Manager after all, thought they would be stored as IE does.

If they stored the bookmarks as IE does, then i think it would be just about perfect. I much prefer to add folders and move stuff around that way as well...
