    Changing N64 Casing (?)

I have a plain old US/JAP N64 and would like to change the casing for one of my coloured PAL versions. Is this easy to do? Are there any guides on the net?

    Any tips appreciated.

I guess a case-swap would be easy enough, but you'll need a special bit to unscrew the funky screws Ninty use (called Gamebit screws).

    You can get them from
    here.

        Cheers

Is unscrewing it all there is to it? I'm not going to have to mess with anything major?

        I'll talk to g-funk once I'm sure

Reckon it will be very straightforward.

5 min job, but maybe worth putting some normal screws back in in case you want to get it open in the future.

One thing nobody has mentioned is, if you plan to remove the main board from the bottom of the outer shell, its a very good idea to draw a diagram of where all the screws are as you have to remove LOTS to get to the bottom screws to remove it from the casing.

Hehe learned the hard way when it took ages to get them all back in, other than that it should be a piece of cake.
