Sonic Mega Collection Plus (PS2) - Pal Version?

Does the Pal Version of 'Sonic Mega Collection Plus' feature a 60hz option, or is it optimised to run in 50hz?

After some research on the internet it is likely that the pal version does NOT have a 60hz option. Also, there are supposed to be big borders and noticeable slower (unresponsive) gameplay than the ntsc version.

That?s really dissapointing as one would have thought that SEGA would take extra care that their mascot classics played well in all regions.

A friend of mine confirmed this to me as well.

It is strange considering Sega are usually top class when it comes to PAL conversions.

I would swear mine played in 60hz, I held down the B button as if it were a US game (it's pal though) and it offered me play in 60hz...!

Maybe it's to give the authentic retro feeling for PAL Megadrive owners, most owners would be used to the bad conversions. Or maybe it's just lazyness.

You talking about GC version of the original SMC?

That does have a 60hz option but the PS2 version of SMC+ does not

See that happened with Sonic Jam... the menu's and 3D Sonic World were full-screed, full speed, but the games themselves were intentionally kept boardered.
