winamp probs

every time i skip to the next song or stop a song on winamp, i get a buzzing sound for about 5 secs, like the song is dragging. ive scoured the winamp website and put a post on the forum but havent got any replies. my questions are

1. Has anyone else had this prob and how did u fix it?
2. Does anyone know of any similar media programs which are similarly small and have good functions as im thinking about geting rid of winamp.

never had that problem, winamp is great for me except occasional hiccups

have you tried reinstalling it? got the latest version?

Sounds like a problem with your soundcard or soundcard drivers rather than Winamp, the program is pretty solid in my experience.

I guess you could try options > plug-ins > output > configure and toggle hardware acceleration on or off. Just a thought.
