    Strange video problem

I've got a couple of High Def movies that are .ts files that i can play in VLC player or Media Player Classic. I've upgraded my nVidia drivers for my 6800GT to latest ones on there site now (77.72 i think) and now when i watch any video (i originally thought it was just these .ts files) it's like the brightness is really high and the contrast is all messed up. Behind it all you can still see the HD stuff looks stunning it's like there's some filters on any video played. Everything is ok on the drivers that come with BF2...

Anyone got any ideas before i just go back to those?

Are the settings in display properties > advanced > color correction > overlay set to defaults?
