DC MadCatz Controller

I've purchased a used MadCatz Pad for Dreamcast. It comes without instructions and I was wonderig about the purpose of the lighted button near standard ones (circled in picture).

I used to have one of those beasts. I'm pretty sure the orange button is for programming moves or something like that. I used to always hit by accident during play.

It was an alright pad, slightly better d-pad than the standard DC controller which is a nightmare for 2D fighters.

It's for switching buttons if I remember correctly. Say if you want to swap A for B you press the button, press A, press B, press button again. Atleast I think this is what it was for, been a while since I've used mine.
