    what is realtime/pre-rendered videos?

    someone help..

Real Time is rendered on the fly, using an engine, whilst Pre-Rendered is exactly that, calculated beforehand and just played as a movie. The upshot of the latter being that you can get a console to display fantastic images because they need not have been constructed on the machine itself.

The downside is that it's completely uninteractive, and generally not representitive of the game being played. This was a lot more noticable in past years when the pre-rendered FMV was vastly superior to look at than the actual gameplay, but not so much these days. FMV is barely used because in-game engines are so good looking anyway, and it helps with continuity.

A good modern example of this is the Killzone 2 video. If that's realtime, then it's butt-clenchingly impressive, because it means that the PS3 is actually pushing out graphics like that usable in a game (more or less). If it's all pre-rendered, then it's 'meh', because for all we know, they might have created it using 30 mainframes, spending 24 hours rendering each frame of the film.

Obviously not representitive of what the PS3 is capable of.

If it's of any interest, Killzone was running about 5fps on the alpha hardware they had, and was then recorded and sped up to 60fps.
