I use Infiniti and I think they are great. I got 25 on a spindle for ?7 at www.lordofthedeals.co.uk only yesterday. I dunno if they are absolutely the best of the best, and i dunno if thats the absolute cheapest of the cheap, but i think they're good value for money.

I always use Arita myself, no complaints at all. They're reasonably cheap at 42,50 euro per 100.

Ritek all the way for me. I tried sum Datawrite and they must have been a **** batch, bbloody awful.

At the moment i'm still using my last batch of the Ritek G04 dye RiDisc, purple and silver topped ones. They go for about ?25 for a 100.

i'm still using these from last year-

only 2x so takes around 30mins for a full disk, but iirc i don't belive i've had a single failed disk yet(out of the 90odd i've used)

going to get some 8x ones next though 2x just takes too long.

                      these seem cheapenough ?10 for 50 8x Ritek G0-5

You can get printable genuine Taiyo Yuden for about ?40 for 100 from:

I've used the company a few times and they've always been good.

Anyone know if the Ritek G05 dye is as good as the G04 was as I think I remember hearing it isn't?

Another vote for www.svp.co.uk. The customer service is astounding and the prices arn't bad either...

As for which DVD media - it depends on what drive you have. I've gone through about 150 Datawrite Titaniums (non-printable) and they've been fine, but a mate did. Have a look around www.cdfreaks.com and www.rpc1.com - they (and the site they link to) are true hardcore dudes, they review alot of drives and publish the test results with different media.

?11 for fifty for 8x speed, don't know what postage is like though, I have a branch nearby.

Incidentally I use Datawrite red top v3's and haven't had a single problem since I got my NEC ND2500A last year, they play in my DVD player too without probs.

I use only G04 or G05. I find the G05's are just as good as the G04, but I've been using G04's as my 8x NEC writer only averages at around 6x anyway, and the G04's were marginally cheaper so I thought what the heck. Dunno about now, although I'm going to be ordering some soon as I've run out. SVP is my regular place
