Touch Screen Monitors - advice please

Looking to pick one up, old style CRT one is fine, 17"+ anyone have/use one ? haven't a clue what to look out for really - it's for educational stuff for 3 year old son if it makes a difference - never too early to get them started

They are very expensive and there isn't much choice. For example a 15" CRT touchscreen will set you back over ?700!!!

Presumably they are made for commercial kiosk use and fairly bullet-proof.

TBH you'd be better off teaching the child to use a mouse - or maybe a graphics tablet or trackball if its easier? You can get the low-end Wacom tablets for about ?30 these days.
