Back lighting a gameboy color

Hi all,is it possible to fit internal screen lighting,(back light or front light) to a gameboy color? Maybe using a modded gba afterburner kit?I know gba sp can play gbc games,but id like to have a go at buliding a custom back lite gbc.Also was there crystal,black,or silver gameboy color?Thanks.

think you'd need to play about with a GBA Afterburner, lots of GBC stuff here but no internal light

Thanks for that,had a quick look over there and there's some intresting bits and bobs but aint lan kwei trading the house of dodge?I hear a lot of people get ripped off there?

I used them once and all OK, lik-sang and PA probably sell the same stuff if you want to buy elsewhere.
