Volume amplifier for 3.5mm jack headphones?

Does anyone know if its possible to get some sort of volume amplifiers for headphones?

I've been wanting to watching some divx files on my pda which works brilliantly except for the fact that I can't bloody hear anything!

I really need to be able to boost the volume somehow, does anyone have any suggestions?

you can get them yes, friend got one for MiniDisc player from Amazon, was bit bulky though as needed couple of AA batteries. Something like this

must be available at most decent electrical sites.

I have a pair of sony groove headphones that are much louder than regular ones. they cost me ?17.99 from argos. saves having to faff around with amplifiers as usually the output of the machine is fine, it just needs to be paired with decent headphones.

        worth a shot, anyway.

Is a nice starter amp - works out at ?30 shipped here - exchange rate bargain!

Also try a Koss PortaPro/KSC-75 - best "cheap" headphone you can buy.

          Visit www.headfi.com, it's a friendly place.
