    Is this a normal request?

    Subject : Jameco Order on

    | | | Inbox

    Dear Customer,

Your order-dated July 16, 2005 has been placed on a credit hold.
In verifying the credit card information that you have provided and as part of
our credit policy for checking international credit cards.Your Credit Card
Processor in U.K. refused to verify my inquiry. I'm sorry to tell you that it
    would delay your order if
we never confirm with your issuer if it's a valid card and if the information
matches with their records. In such case like this, we normally suggest our
customers to fax us the credit card billing statement so, that way we could base
our verification and would release their order. We just need to compare the
given address on the order to the one they had on the statement. We are strictly
doing this verification to prevent any fraudulent transactions and I do hope
    you'll understand.

Should you have any more questions, call me or e-mail me at the given info.
    below. Please note that we
can hold orders for 3 days only. Failure to email us back will result on a timed
out and cancellation of your order.

Please give this matter your immediate attention so we may ship your order as
    soon as possible.

Standard security check to make sure it's your card.

Is it for something expensive? I had to email a scan of my card to yesasia with my first order with them (which was worth about $300). I just photoshopped out some of the card number & my signature incase the email got intercepted.

Is the address you gave them for delivery different to the registered address for the credit card? That might also be a problem.

I've also been wanting to get one of these Jameco PSU's but they never got back to me about shipping, how much was the shipping if it's not too rude to ask?

              Cheers

              john.

I paid $20 for the psu and $35 for global freight shipping (apparently arrives in no more then 7 days).

I don't normally like paying more in shipping than the actual item, but I need to find out if my beloved MVS is still alive and kicking.
