Replacing the music in Crazy Taxi DC with MP3s

I have an original cropy of Crazy Taxi DC but really hate the crappy teen rock music, and would rather replace it with some of my own music. So is their any way I could create a copy of it but replace the music? Would it be as simple as putting the disc in my DVD drive, converting my MP3s to whatever format the DC uses and then replacing the original music, then burning a copy?

If this is a touchy subject, could someone at least PM me or point me to another site? Although I don't see how changing game music can be looked down upon, while discussing getting stoned is ok.

You'd need to rip is using a DC BBA or a modified serial cable and the relevant boot disc.

you would then need to find the audio files and replace them with your own music encoded in ADX format (which, to my knowledge isn't easy as the codecs aren't freely available) then burn it all back on to CD and hope for the best.

Suffice to say... it's not worth it.

why dont you just turn the music off on the option screen and put some of you own music on your music system much less effort and that way you still can keep the sound effects.

        Stroke of genius tbh

Reminds me of reading a story about astronauts finding out that normal pens didn't work in zero gravity; America spent a fortune developing a 'space pen' (which you can actually still buy today) that would write upside down, underwater, etc, etc... Russia started taking pencils up instead.

With that in mind, I would have said that cyemonkey's approach to this particular problem is probably better

I just don't like that kind of music at all. Just imagine Birthday Cake from JSR playing, with the chorus, "Shut up blend and eat!" and beat kicking out just as you do a crazy jump off the San Francisco-esque hills.

And By The Way would be totally appropriate for a game about going crazy with Taxis.
