    Boktai light sensor question

So I finally managed to find myself a copy of the first Boktai game today, used. Possibly not the most intelligent purchase ever, given the ****ty weather we've got here right now, but like I say, I've been trying to find it for some time.

Anyway, the problem is that I can't get the sun meter to register any light at all at the moment. Now, it's a really nasty day - overcast, raining - so I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to be - if the game only registers *direct* sunlight, not the dull stuff that's currently being filtered through a completely cloudy sky - or if the sensor's ****ed. Anybody care to hazard a guess?

I could only ever get it to register direct sunnyness, I took mine to the south of france with me last year and would curse when a cloud went overhead.

You can cheat by playing it under a UV/Blacklight though

I managed to play whilst indoors, holding the game up to the sun coming through the window. As it happens, I had to stand on the toilet seat to do so.

I found it far easier reclining on a sun lounger in my garden though.

      EDIT

So you need direct sunnyness (nice word) for it to work.

Yup I concur, I've cursed and cursed everytime the light has gone in! Make sure you play it in the garden like Mr Glider above said...Lots of sunnyness needed!

Ah, cheers. At least I can presume that the cart's working fine.
