    Wireless Connection Suddenly 'Dropped'

Last night I was on the internet just surfing about and all of a sudden it just dropped the connection and logged me out of MSN etc. It's still saying its connected and everything looks as if it should be fine so theres nothing different I can see apart from that it just wont work, and it won't even work on my Main PC where the connection is from.

I've checked everything plugged in etc and no-one elses NTL is down since I'm on my neighbours right now...

Any quick ideas or do I need to phone NTL on their ?50 a second phone line to talk to people that probably dont even know how to turn a PC on!

By any chance are there any other networks on your list? I have had a few problems recently with my PC and I think I have narrowed it down to it trying to connect to an unsecure network (although it must be secure on mac addresses as I cannot connect.) for some reason its really confusing my PC.

You've probably tried this but..... have you tried turning the wirleless router/ADSL model/cable modem (whatever it is you've got) on and off again.

My last wireless ADSL router thingie (I think it was a Belkin) gave those exact same symptoms every now and then. Powering it on and off always fixed it.

I'd do Ish's thing first, I've had my cable modem suddenly drop out to find after waiting 40minutes for telewest customer support, to tell me that turning it on and off at the main's normally fixes it.

Other things reinstall drivers and ring up your provider and get them to flash your connection...

I tried all that straight away yeh, then yesterday it suddenly just came back on without doing anything at all...

Don't have a clue what what wrong in the end but it's working now so hopefully it won't happen again!
