If you can play in 480p, some of the cheaper adapters will work, if not, the best thing to get is an XRGB2+ which does a fantastic job. It doesn't support 480p at all though, and the others won't support 480i. If you've got an NTSC system, most games support 480p though, so it should hopefully be a non-issue.
you can actually get a VGA cable for ntsc gamecubes, that'd give you the best possible picture quality as theres no transcoding or line-doubling or anything going on.
