This post is intended for folks who connot yet accuire a hd tv set for whatever reason(mind you my plasma tv didn't look as good in progressive scan)
this little component - vga convertor was so impressive i felt compelled to post here and let you all know.
to be fair it took about 30 mins to work out all the different settings(as there are switches for 480p/540p 720p 1080i etc etc, and more for picture allignment brightness etc)) but once the box was configured it gave me the most stunning 480p gamecube piucture that i've seen(as i said better than on a direct component connection on my plasma).
its also worth noting that you get NO ghosting at all, unlike the converted vga cable's you can get.
get rid of your modded rgb's and if you have a half decent crt, you NEED this device.
