magic box question

Hello all

just received a magic box and next on the list is ajoystick to plug into it.
can anyone tell me if the following sticks work with no issues:

Dreamcast arcade stick
Hori RAP
Hori SC2 stick

any help greatly appreciated.

Dreamcast Arcade stick you only get 4 of the buttons mapped.
I have one wired as a PS2 stick and they all work so on that i presume the RAP will have all its buttons working.

is wiring it up to get the other buttons working easy to do? (bearing in mind i have no solder experience)
or am i better searching for an SC2 stick?

I can't say about those sticks, but a NeoGeo Stick 2 (the PS2 re-release by SEGA and SNK Playmore) works perfectly. I hear most work fine with it.

Saurian did mine. I wouldn't know where to start.

At the same time though he was also doing a friend's of mine which in the end would not work,some incompatability with the donor PS1 pad i think.
Think its a bit hit and miss,and there is a special type of PS pad to use,better solder points on the pcb i think.

You would probably be better off searching out a PS2 stick i think. I have a Soul Calibur 2 GC stick which i love.
Maybe get the PS2 version of that.

neo geo stick 2 looks ok but prefer hori sticks (or sanwa)

dreamcast stick 4 buttons is ok as i can get a stick for cheapness

does the saturn virtua stick? as this seems as good parts wise as the other sticks i have seen and is not anywhere near as epensive as a HRAP
