Nintendo DS games which one are good

I am getting a Blue Nintendo DS with Mario 64, Advance Wars DS and one of Nintendogs game on 22nd of August.

Will have new Mario 2D platform and Kart game in the future.

Anything else worth considering (Not Japanese text heavy) I am a deaf guy and want something pick up and play for 10 minutes burst, as I will be using it on the bus journeys to work/delivery route.

What about like of Yoshi, Electricplankton, and so on.

Zoo Keeper is cheap and good, and can be played in short bursts.

Yoshi and PacPix are excellent games - very pick up and play, although both games are short...unless you are into beating high scores, in which case they last for ages. There is an excellent thread on Yoshi in the "First Play" section - so good, in fact, that I bought the game after reading the guys on here enthuse about it.

I got Zoo Keeper with the machine over a month ago, but hadn't played it until the weekend because of Yoshi and Pac Pix. haven't played anything other than ZK since though, as it is horribly addictive and thoroughly time consuming. It's based on a flash game, so you can easily find a version to play on your computer to see whether it's your thing (and then decide whether you can justify spending ?25 on something you can play for free on your PC/Mac )

There's loads of games worth getting on the DS. Try the first play section of the forum. There's loads of gaming related reviews in there. Pick up and play would be Meteos, Warioware: touched!, Daigasso! (maybe), Electroplankton, and the 2 mentioned above.

TBH, everything on the DS is pretty much pick up and play, except maybe the platformers.

I would recommend Yoshi Touch & Go especially in two player wireless mode but the single game is great too.

Electroplankton is brilliant but you will miss out on a lot if you can't hear the tunes you are making

I highly reccomend Kirby's Canvass Curse and Warioware Touched. They've been played to death in our house. Kirby is what DS' were designed for, so unique yet so accesable. Warioware Touched is just great as well.

Pac-Pix is good too but I've not touched it in quite a while, it gets pretty hard pretty fast and nowadays I don't have as much time as I'd like to play a game like that unless it is REALLY good, ie Kirby.

What kind of puzzle game is Zoo Keeper anyway.

I played Bust a move, Mr Driller, Lumines, Tetris

                    It's this:

(wait about a minute for the ads to end, then the Start screen should show)

                    But with:

Touchscreen control instead of mouse control
More than one move at a time (if you're quick enough)
And more modes including single cart multiplayer

Meteos is what you need for quick bursts. It's an action game that looks a bit like tetris. Game length is normally in the region of 2-3 minutes.

I would recommend Kirby's canvas curse, great use of the stylus, brilliant level design, a true classic for the DS
