I know thta the topic of having saves from different regions on the same memory card has been discussed a few times, but can you play a save game from the US on a UK machine? (Specifically, can I play my US GT4 game on a UK console and game?)

GT4 wise, I'm 99.9% sure you can't, Bassman is the expert on different region GT4 saves

I just didn't want to put the card in and have it swaped over to PAL automaticaly and lose all my hard work.

The saves from one region of GT4 are not compatible with other regions.

I have a 100% complete PAL game with all cars available in the arcade, but unless you can get a save from the PC to your PS2 then that is not much help. If you just want to continue an exisitng game then you are stuck.

cards are cheap now anyway, have one for each region.

You don't need one for each region. I have saves from all regions on at least one memory card.
