How do you add subtitles to a movie?

    Hi Guys

I recently acquired a film that came with two files.

An .avi file (the movie it-self) and a .srt file (the subtitles for the movie)

Does anybody know how a fuse the two together so that I can watch the movie with the subs playing at the same time?

    Thanks

    Tommy

Download Media Player Classic or VLC, they automatically check for a subtitle file I believe. Also, make sure the name of the .srt file matches that of the .avi file in question.

Awesome! That works a treat, thanks Taka.

If I wanted to burn the movie to disc with the subs included how would I go about doing that?

http://www.videohelp.com is full of tutorials on how to convert file types and add subtitles.

An example of such a tutorial is
Video forums, video software downloads, guides, blu-ray players and media.

        hope this helps.
