    Yeah, quite possibly.

They do make some great monitors though.

Try Shuttle. I have one (although I built it myself) and they're great little systems.

Quite possibly the case in the 'home' section of the website. Try going in via the 'small business' section, if you're not getting the option to remove the monitor from the package. Most of the machines in there can have the monitor removed.

I hear it's very easy to get a further discount on all Dell products. If you're ordering by telephone then just start umming and ahhing about better deals and special offers elsewhere and they'd knock a bit off the price there and then.

Ok guys, what do you think of this???

It's the kind of spec I'm after, so ticks all boxes for me. Your opions would be much appreciated.

Not bad, except for the very poor gfx card. You'd need to upgrade it if you want to play games.

Yes, she is. I've got the little 17" version running on my work desk in 'Tate mode.

Poor gfx card. It will really kill system performance.

Try to go for a GeForce 6600 or 6800 with 256mb of RAM on it.

Also check the refresh rate on the screen. If it's less than 16ms then I wouldn't recommend buying.

If you can afford the extra to get the 704FPt UltraSharp rather than the Value one, it does give a nicer image.

As for graphics, they don't actually offer you anything approaching a decent gaming card on that model, so you're best off taking that crappy X300 and replacing it yourself.
