I know you can upscale dvds using this, but does it give you an option to PLAY dvds? The early version i have doesn`t seem to have a play function.

Yeah, you can play DVDs but the player doesn't have menu functions. So it can be annoying to find your way around DVDs. -
And also, a lot don't work. The DVD playback isn't very good. The last version I tried had trouble descrambling the video so I just got a screen of green blocks after a few seconds. So it was only really good for unencrypted discs (in other words, copies and promotional giveaways).Comment
