You can play without the drums, but the drums are fantastic so you'd be a fool to.

Play-Asia ought to still be selling them.

you can get the american version with drums for ?15 buy it now off ebay (us seller), but the postage is around ?20.

yesasia sell the drum for around ?35, or ?45-?65 with a game. (free shipping and customs)

playasia sell the drum for around ?25 or ?35-?50 with a game (then you have customs, postage etc..)

i just won a brand new copy of the japanese release with the drum for ?27 off ebay (?10 postage, uk seller)

and the non official ones go for around ?10-?15 (not inc postage)

ebay or yesasia are your best bet!

hello, there are already a few threads about this game, hope its ok if i add some questions to this one.

          - apparently versions 1 and 3 are the best to go for, is either of these the first one?:

the latter one might be the same as the american relese? is that any good?

also i hear some versions have mr driller music in them, any ideas which ones?

          Thanks

Trying to find the US-version (Taiko Drum Master), but it seems neither VGP or Tronix has it (in stock) and I'm don't really want to buy it on eBay with the big box and all. I see it goes for around ?15-16 there so it doesn't seem to bad, but then shipping to Norway comes on top which can be a pain in the ass. Perhaps Game Focus in Goodge Street has it, so I can pick it up when I go there next week?

MoFo2, you can get the Jap Taiko Drum Master game.

It's basically the US version (all in English) released for the Jap market.
Quite excellent it is too with some excellent Queen tracks and some cheesy Britney ones too! Buy it from these guys...

The first link you posted is the first one, the second link is the Japanese realese of the one that was released in the US. The first one's a lot better, especially if you haven't played any of the others, but the one in the second link is a lot easier to navigate, since all of the menus and everything are in English.

msm13579: You're welcome mate, enjoy Taiko; it's ace.

MoFo2: I *think* that the US version has the Katamari Damacy theme tune on it, which the Japanese one doesn't for some reason, so you'd probably be best getting that one anyway.
