Best postal option to send an Xbox?

Hi, sorry if this question has been asked on numerous occasions... but, which is the best way to send an Xbox without costing a total bomb?. It would be nice to know which postal service/option people have sent theirs. I've been led to believe that Special Delivery is the best option, however, that costs what ?18+ - is their a cheaper and equally effective way of sending one?.

Any help, would be much appreciated .

    Cheers.

It all depends on the speed at which you want to send it. Parcel Force take about 3-4 days delivery, but cost ?12 iirc for an xbox. Plus you can insure the package. Sending it recorded delivery will be cheaper than special, but you cant insure it.

You might want to contact a company like Amtrak or FedEx. They may actually do it cheaper than special delivery.

Parcel force is the best route, I sent one a few weeks back for ?10-?11 I think?

You can send it recorded post (only insured upto ?25 I think) but you would have to send it 1st class (?15+) as it will be too heavy for 2nd.

        Ok, cheers both of you.

Look's like I'll go with the Parcel Force option .

No offence but we send around 50 parcels a week and you have got more chance of the xbox arriving safely, if at all, by stickking ?20 to the outside of the box and dropping it in the nearest bin !!!

yes you will be insured with parcel farce but i guaruntee that you will give up on the claim before you recieve any compensation.

use special delivery mate , it is signed at least 7 times before it reaches its destination and every person who touches it is responsible for their part of the journey, in the thousand of packages I have sent with them I have never had anything go missing and only a dozen or so have been late.

never send anything by parcel force if you have a choice !
and they are not my words, they are the words of our parcel force driver.

to save ?6 it isnt worth the risk.

last time we used parcel force they lost 4 out of 11 parcels in a week !!!

I send about 5-10 parcels a week, and so far I haven't had any problems at all with Parcel Force - none have gone missing, none have been damaged.

            Maybe just lucky.

I'm with gIzzE on this one - I've had a few lost parcels with Parcelforce.

I only use Special Delivery nowadays, had one parcel lost with them but got compensation sorted in a few days 8)

                Yup.

I've sent out almost 200 now via Parcel Force, no problems whatsoever - even delivered on saturday sometimes, when I'd posted them on the friday before. If you actually ask for that, they charge loads extra...

I always use recoded delivery for smaller items and Parcelforce and Special Delivery for larger items. I have only ever had 1 machine lost, but it was found and forwarded to the customer a little while later.

Ive stopped using Parcel Farce. They lose far too many parcels. I now use a local courier for all my delivering needs. They are affiliated with APC. Never had any problems yet.
