Xbox Progressive scan woes

After purchasing a new LCD HD Tv I have decided to try and get my UK Xbox to output a Progressive scan signal. Does anyone know how to do this and what equipment is needed? Any advice will be appreciated

u need to either

chip it

or

softmod it

and then use the "enigmah region changer"to change from pal to ntsc and obtain the 480p and 720p goodness (oh and 1080i on some games)

Jason, just out of interest, where will I get the "enigmah region changer" from. Is it on the Action replay/Mega-X-Key?

2 sites u need contain all the info www.xbox-scene.com oh yeah the forums on xbox scene are full of unhelpful twats who like nothing but flaming noobie questions so use the search button before asking a question on those forums and www.xbins.com id suggest dowloading mirc and an ftp program too.

hi again

tbh id say goto www.rllmukforum.com and look in the modifying xbox folder within the trading folder a very helpful chap called yod@ will chip your machine for you ?40 plus p and p will get u a modified console with everything u will ever need and he will fir a new harddrive if required (u can supply your own and it wont cost any extra)

he is 100% trustworthy and the turnaround is only a few days loads will vouch for him here and there.

Personally I would reccomend getting a Mega X Key / Action Replay or some other USB memory card device and going the soft-modding route.

There is a new soft-mod installer out called Krayzies NDure Installer, again you can find it on the www.xbox-scene.com forums and its easy to use. Just stick that on your Xbox, grab the enigmah video app and run it and your done... then make sure you pick up XBMC while your at it and a handful of emulators... its practically encouraged once you've got your Xbox in a modded state!

I have found the Krayzies NDure Installer but it looks a bit dawnting to me as to installing it. Im gonna go get a copy of Splinter Cell today as I have a USB cable that connects the Xbox controller to the PC. So I can use it with a memory card as a storage device.

As for the Splinter Cell gamesave file. Does anyone know where I can get it from?
