Is it possible for an attachment to be

attached to an email "on transit" as it were, by a 3rd party?

1 of my clients says she had an email from me that had porn pics attached, now it didnt have any when i sent it.

Is it possible that they were attached en route?

The message headers dont reveal anything untoward, i am a bit suspicious about this (i think she is making it up).

    Cheers

Ask her to forward it back to you, sounds like utter bollocks.

If you have a virus on your computer then maybe that is blocking your messages, adding an attachment and then sending it off?

You could test the above theory by sending an email to yourself.

The loveletter/I Love you virus and varients had attachments such as JENNIFERLOPEZ_NAKED.JPG.vbs - but these were script files loaded to infect other PCs, rather than actual jpgs. I don't believe it added them onto every email though.

Are you saying the message had content written by you and then the attachments mysteriously appeared afterwards?
          or
Are you saying that she received an email from you with attachments (that you can't remember sending)?

If it's the 1st, shes talking sh1te. If it's the 2nd, viruses regularly spoof ppl's email addresses - tell her to stop talking sh1te.

Well ill tell you what happened

Copy the email from our ISP

The attachment is actully a redirector provided by these people at
http://blastdirect.com/ an email marketing co, the only constant will
be the *Our Logo*, each time you open it while online you will
get a different ad. only thing i can suggest is to delete it and never
visit that co again, nothing illegal although highly dubious practise.

            Sounds very odd indeed
