I don't think there's an exact measure of equivalence because the Pentium M operates in a different manner. But I'd say it's roughly equivalent to a P4 2 - 2.2

david, that site doesnt have centrino compaisions, but it has all the rest of the processors.
so would a 1.4 centrino be good enough for playing most games?

I would say it's not bad spec for a laptop, should play most games with medium detail OK, need one of the PC techies to confirm though ......

The processors are actually Pentium M not "Centrino" which is a brand name low power consumption laptops with built in wireless.
Pentium Ms are truely awesome but 1.4GHz is around the bottom of the range.
