Does anyone know if the various region's versions of Nintendogs are compatible with one another? I was suspecting that it would be like Pokemon (linking is fine as long as the languages are the same), but the fact that you can name your dog using Japanese characters makes me think otherwise. I know the UK version isn't out yet, but has anyone tried with the JPN and US ones?

I had it understood that PAL and NTSC regions won't mix... this only applies to carts ... the download play can work across any region. I think this is correct, but I can't confirm Nintendogs compatibility. -

There are the same breeds in each region.......(so far)
But I'm almost 99% that US and JAP versions don't link up with each other.Comment
