Replacing the 'guts' of a modded X-Box

I have a modded jpn model that i believe has an Alladin chip, with an Avalaunch dash. When it turns on you are greeted with 7 simple options which can all be selected, which in turn lead to a few more simple options, all neatly laid out. (see jpeg)
My friends pal Crystal (xecuter 2) is nasty, horrible and a real confusing eyesore to behold and navigate, with loads of unneccesary options and programs.
What i was wondering is if i connect to both of them is it possible to drag all the files off of mine, and put them in the relevant places onto his,so in theory creating a clone of mine? Is it this easy,or is there a load of formatting to do?

(tom-nook,this is not Simon's one btw)

    Thanks

It'll work fine, as the modchip itself has no relevence to the software stored on the harddrive really.

Does it matter that the HD's are different sizes? Mine's a 160 and the other is a standard 8 or 10.

Not as long as there's enough room to copy it all.
