i just got a 32X for my megadrive 2, but i dont really know how to connect it up, all I did was connect the 32x and MD2 both to power supplies, and connect the SCART cable to the 32X. I dont get a picture. Is there something else I have to do? What about the "AV in" port on the 32X, what goes in there?

You should have a short connector lead that goes from the Megadrive's AV out to the AV in on the 32X. The 32X overlays its graphics onto the Megadrive image, so you need the passthrough in order to see the whole image.
Quite often second hand 32X units are missing this lead, annoyingly, but they show up on eBay on their own from time to time (or you could build one fairly easily if you're handy with a soldering iron and you can find the right connectors).
