64 bit processors

i'm thinking of upgrading my rig, basically, whats a decent speed to get and how do they compare performance wise as a 2.2ghz 64bit chip would cost a lot more for the equivilant regular amd chip.

Also what is the best type of ram to get, can someone recommend me a kick ass motherboard for a 64bit amd chip and what sort of ram to get.

well depends if you want to overclock it as i'd say go for a amd 3700 san diego core cpu and dfi nforce 4 ultra motherboard and some geil or corsair ddr ram with tccd memory chips

also do you want to go pci express or keep agp graphics card ?

i have a pretty good agp card so ill probably stick with agp if possible

then you could get the dfi nforce 3 ultra motherboard and the 3700 san diego chip which will quite easily overclock up to an amd fx-55 which is clocked at 2.6ghz
