    GBA Metroids

I can get Metroid Fusion for 9.99 or Metroid Zero Mission for 29.99 from game. The NTSC-UK reviews say Zero Mission is the better game, but is it that much better?

    Opinions, please.

I'm not a big metroid fan (although I have played both, as well as owning both Prime and Echoes on the cube), and I'm not big into handheld gaming either.... but I've got to say that Fusion is much better than Zero Mission. To me, zero mission felt quite dated in its design.... sure, it was remade, and Nintendo added quite a lot to it to differentiate it from the original Metroid on the NES, but it still felt a bit.. off. Fusion is quite lovely though, I enjoyed it and it is definitely the better game. And for 10 quid, its a good price. ?30 for Zero Mission? That's too much. So yeah, go with fusion.

Other way round for me. I'd say Zero Mission is the superior game.

First off both are fantastic games.

But for me Zero Mission edges it for me as its not as "go here do this" when compared to Fusion.

I've not played ZM but I found Fusion to be not in your traditional Metroid fashion apart from quite late on. For the most part Fusion forces you along a set path and doesn't give you much degree of exploration, until a certain point in the game where you are then, in a way, allowed to go looking for collectables. It's not Metroid in the way that Super Metroid is. But it is still good and definitely get it if it's only a tenner. Plus you can always link it up to Prime once you finish it and get NES Metroid on the GC, so no need to get ZM

which was the one that was a super metroid remake?I only had the other gba metroid game and loved it. It's longish but not so long that you couldn't be bothered to complete it. Actually thinking about it i think it was fusion.

it was a remake of the nes original.

god only knows why super metroid didn't get a gba port, as its the best one.

Thanks guys. I'm not an experienced hand at Metroid Games (never played one), so do this and do that instruction seems okay to me. So Fusion it is.

Definitely get both if you can, but I'd say Zero Mission is the better game.

Zero mission is a great remake of the original game, although I'm not keen on the new stuff they added after the "last" boss.

Fusion isn't a "proper" metroid game; it's rather linear, but still plays great.
