    Macs and Citrix

Folks, apologies for starting yet another Mac thread but it'd be great if someone could answer this.

I'm thinking of buying a Powerbookk but of course this will only have one mouse button. Ordinarily that wouldn't be much of a problem, but I'll need to use Citrix to connect to a Windows desktop (which presumably won't make allowances for having a single-button mouse).

Does anyone have any experience at using a Mac to connect to Citrix? Is it as painful as I think it's going to be?

If the single mouse button is the only issue you can think of, then don't worry. Mac OS X supports multi-button mice by default, so this should be as much of an issue as you might think.

Either buy yourself an external mouse, or download the iScroll2 trackpad driver which defines two fingers on the trackpad and a click as a right-click (http://www-users.kawo2.rwth-aachen.d...fazz/iscroll2/), or Sidetrack, which is similar to iScroll2, but costs money iirc (http://www.ragingmenace.com/software/sidetrack/). Alternatively, just get used to holding Control while clicking for right-click.

For the small number of days when I had a Mac, I was disappointed to find out that although the operating system supported right-clicking no problem, a lot of the applications didn't because of the fact that the systems are [were?] shipped with single button ones only. So I'd say check to make sure before you buy if it's a big issue for you.

Clever stuff Coberitzo, I'll see if I can give that a try thanks. Don't see any reason why it shouldn't work through a Thin Client.
