MAC file sharing

Again sorry for starting another MAC thread but I am a total dumbass. Me and my mate have managed music file sharing but we want to share other word files, just notes and stuff through our wireless network.
Really have no idea what to do so really any help at all would be appreciated please!

You could try FINDER/GO/CONNECT TO SERVER and enter his ip. Think that'll work.

Or connect the two macs via firewire and restart holding down f i think it is.That will make one mac an extension of the other,so you can only work on one,but can send stuff to the extension.

i know help files usually suck but have you tried accessing the help search thing on osx? it's really useful particularly with file sharing

Or maybe try Transmit.

That'll work for sure as its what i use to ftp to my X-Box from my mac

cheers for the help guys, got this up and running after fiddling with IP address and firewall settings for a bit.
