    Xbox Media Center Troubles

Haven't used this for quite a while and today I thought I would sit down and watch the 30 minute Kameo video on the TV, so I starte dit all up and when I go to access my PC's network it comes up with an error box saying "Success" in it!?

Tried fiddling about with different things but nothing helps. Dont know what the problem could be as I haven't really changed anything since I last used it.

I thought I would just get the newest version and see if that works but remember it's nigh impossible to find links to download it, only on IRC and all that crap which I just dont get. So anyone got any ideas or links for the newst build of it?

    Ta much.

If it was a HD file media center won't play it and the Xbox is not powerful enough. Also make sure that the file name isn't too long as the Xbox won't read files with over a certain number of characters.

To get the new build you'll have to join the IRC network 'irc.efnet.net' and into #xbins (message server to get password for FTP). Think there is a step by step guide on Xbox Scene somewhere. I've just updated my build a few days ago as its now got proper DVD menu support.

Failing that you should be able to find some torrents at the usual places. Try and get one that was released on or after the 12th September as that was when the DVD menu support was added.

Try deleting XBOX Media centre save as it might be corrupted.

No, it wouldnt even let me access any files at all. I click 'Home Network' then the next page loads which is titles MSHOME, I click that and usually after that it shows up with my Hard Disks on my PC and 'My Documents' folders. But nothing this time, the error message appears.

The files on my PC are all shared like they should be too.

What do you mean try deleting the save? Like from the normal Xbox dashboard?
