Replacement psu for a Sega Genesis.

Wondered if anyone could help, I've been given a Sega Genesis by one of my friends, and the psu seems to be very temperamental, and it looks like I need a replacement.
Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to by one of these from cheaply, would maplins or somewhere like that sell what I need?
If not where might I be able to get one from?

Which one, genesis or genesis 2? because they have different PSUs. You can get either easily at ebay, just make sure to get the right version (genesis 1 or 2). It doesnt matter if u buy the european megadrive PSU because it is external.

I have one of the original shaped Genesis consoles, same shape as the original JP megadrive...will I need to look for a UK Megadrive 1 PSU for this?

So you mean the bigger sized one? Yes u need to look for a megadrive 1 PSU.
