Buying stepdown - first time user

Hi everyone! I've read through the Import FAQ guide and did a search on 'stepdown' before posting, but I couldn't find any help.

I just got my japanese GBmicro, and as I already knew I need a stepdown converter for it. I'd like to buy a 100W one, so in the future I can plug there a Famicom and a Super Famicom. I looked for one in my not-so-big-city (I live in Spain) and the ones that I can find here transform from 220v to 125v, not 110v (as in Japan and EEUU).
The clerk there told me that they've been using this stepdowns for EEUU products without any problems -he had no clue about Japan, I told him it was the same voltage-, but I'd like to read your take on this before buying one.

Is that voltage diference (110v - 125v) enough to give me problems?

On a side note, if I buy a Super Famicom Jr., can I use my Super Nintendo PAL AC Adapter on it?

    Thx!

For your second question, no you will not be able to. The PAL SNES AC adapter outputs AC, and a SFC Jr requires DC input. However, you can use a generic multivoltage AC/DC adapter which are widely available in many shops. You need to set it to 9V and make sure it can output at least 850mA current. I use one for my SFC Jr. I believe a Mega Drive AC adapter would work too if you have one of those.
