    PSP Battery question

I've been wondering about my PSP's battery for a while ever since my plug sockets started randomly overheating stuff.

While charging my PSP, will it damage the battery at all if I leave it plugged in for a few hours after the battery has charged / power light has gone out?

I did a bit of a check today... From a full battery this morning, I went into town and used it as an mp3 player for exactly 35 minutes, on full volume.

After that, I fired up Wipeout Pure, downloaded both of the downloadable packs, and have logged 2 hours 10 minutes of gameplay before the battery has died. This seems like quite a short time to me but is this normal?

The battery usage seems about right. I assume you were using the screen on full brightness?

Anyway, I leave my PSP on charge for ages after it's finished. I do the same with practically all my portable electronical devices. Nothing should happen, since I'm pretty sure there's a mechanism built into them that stops receiving power from the adaptor once the unit is fully charged i.e. once the light goes off

Turning off the WLAN switch saves battery power too.

Its the left hand switch just turn it down from memory. Means you cant use the wirless or play wi fi but for single player gaming its not needed.

Yeah, forgot to add that. But usually those are off anyway.

Aye, I know where the wifi switch is. I've had my PSP for a while but only just been worried about it's battery life for some weird reason.

Does it save battery life even when it's not in use? I wouldn't have thought it would make a difference at all providing I wasn't using it while it was turned on.
