Been playing this on and off since its launch on the DC back whenever. Stuck it on this morning having not played it for months. I loved the first one, and the second seems to be unfolding nicely.
I'm in Kowloon (start of disc 3) looking for the three people, I have a photo of each of them. I've tracked one guy to some fighting venue, but it costs $1000 to get in. Now I remember why when I played Shenmue, and now Shenmue II it takes me ages to finish them...
The gambling/money aquisition part of these games drives me to intense boredom. Why must getting money take so long and be so reliant on luck?? Its insane. The rest of the game is fantastic, only to be peppered with coma inducing 'lucky hit' gambling - which is rock hard; invariably i stick $400 into on of these boards and get nothing back. rubbish.
Anyway, the reason for the post is this: How can I make money quickly and easily in the Kowloon district in Shenmue II so that I may get on and enjoy the rest of the game.
I thank you.
