SNES > SFC compatibility

I have a just bought a JPN SFC game (Prime Goal, by Namcot, 1993), but I can't get it to boot up on my PAL SNES through my converter (Action Replay). All I get is this message:

"This game pak is not designed for your Super Famicom or Super NES."

Well, what exactly is it designed for then?!

My question is, obviously, is there a code I can use to get the game to work on my SNES, or is there no way and I juss need a SFC? Are there any lists of SFC games that don't work on the SNES on the web somewhere? That would be very very handy.

A lot of SNES games check to see if the SNES is running at the correct speed for the game (e.g a PAL Super Metroid gives that error if the SNES is running at 60Hz).

You might find that having your SNES modded for 50/60Hz is the only solution.
