    Tokyo Highway Battle PSP opinions

Loved the series up to now, wondering how the PSP version ranks for anyone who has played this?

It's okay, but feels rushed and the framerate is a bit poor.

Oi, you're supposed to tell him it's good so he can (hopefully) buy the copy I have for sale

It's an ok racer, but I've never really been into the Shutokou series and well, there's Ridge Racers, isn't there

Check out rllmuk, I'm sure I recall seeing some impressions there a while ago

I've got to agree with Kubrick on this one. It's just okay, but does feel rushed. My main problem though is I have real trouble controlling the car with the PSP analog or the D-pad. I've never had a problem with them before and I've been playing Shutokou games since 97 on the Saturn.

I actually finished this game on the PSP. The first game I completed on my PSP. I enjoyed it. You can carry over your garage to a new game if you want to, though it will still show the cars you have beaten. I didn't miss driving around looking for cars to race and the idea of taking over the whole map are by are worked pretty well.

At least there are no problems with Wanderer's on this version.

Heh yeh I posted this after seeing the sale thread, I dont think its worth me parting with ?20 for though, as much as I love the series, I heard it was a let-down on the PSP.

When you say frame rate, are you talking about juddering, low fps or slowdown?

Sorry Geezer, just telling it how it is.

As a Genki whore I was disappointed.

The framerate is acceptable, but the slowdown gets pretty bad when two or more cars are onscreen.

Save your money for Initial D

Up the lock to 333 and that might sort the framerate - works for Mcrae & Wipeout !
