    Xbox Live Problem

    Just tried connecting my modded xbox to live, and it says that ip could not be found.

    does this mean its been blocked?

    I also tried my unmodded one, but that works fine.

    Are the settings the same on both consoles?

      what do you mean?

      i tried going onto account recovery on the modded xbox, but it says cannot connect.

      if i manually changed the xbox ip will this have an effect on it?

        Yeah, that's what I meant. Have you manually changed your IP settings? DNS Address, IP etc.

          yeah i think i did change it when i linked the modded one to the network.
          what should the ip for the xbox be originally?

            Well you could either copy the settings you have on your other console or leave the boxes blank. The Xbox will then retrieve the DHCP settings automatically.

                  thanks alot jpred, just did it and it works fine.

                  also, how do i have 1 live account on 2 xboxes at the same time?

                  cant see myself entering my details each time i wanna play on the other console!

                    Happy to help.

                    Yeah I'm afraid you have to go to Account Recovery each time you switch the same account between consoles

                        Stick it on a memory card & copy it on to both Xboxes. That way you can boot up on either without any probs. This is what I do.
