swapped 06/27/2005
to 27/06/2005
And then vice-versa

Doesnt work for me Garry -
Using 06/27/2005 as an example, formatting the cell as a custom MM/DD/YYYY makes no change for me.

Got it sorted now.
First changed to US settings and opened the workbook. Selected a blank cell, then Edit>Copy on the dates. Then Edit>Paste Special and Values and Add then ok. Changed back to UK settings and it rearranged the dates.

Strange that last formula would not work, as it was fine with all the dates you mentioned above.
