Anybody getting Castlevania Curse of darkness on PS2

    Hi Guy's

Anybody getting Castlevania Curse of Darkness on PS2 when it's released in Japan on November 24th?. It's available for Pre order from Play-Asia and i've preordered it from Dave of jpn games. Hopefully not knowing japanese will not hinder my gameplaying but if it does how long does it take for a walkthrough to appear on the net?. One thing that i've been wondering about it says u can use devil forgery to develop and enhance innocent Devils (allies). Anybody have an idea what this feature will be maybe extra playable charcters?,hopefully fingers crossed. Sorry about all the questions guys.

    David

Not if it's anything like the last one...

Lament of Innocence was ok-ish, but Castlevania belongs on 2D.

Curse of Darkness looks more than a little suspect though...

I still have hope for a decent 3D Castlevania but, so far, results have been less than impressive. And the fact that it works so well in 2D makes me wonder why I'd even care if there was a good 3D version. Some games just can't, or shouldn't, make that transition.

Developers seem very reluctant to make current-gen 2D games. If that Treasure interview in Edge is anything to go by, it's a cost thing. Shame as there would be no limits to the 2D lovliness the current consoles could achieve.

2d games can still look awesome. I can never understand the rush to develop tradiotinally 2d games into 3d. It can't be motivated by a sales thing - lament of innocence wasn't exactly a big seller. Personally i like to see a 2d castlevania with 3d backgrounds that have in the past been so effectively partnered in games such as ikaruga and gradius. Contra shattered soldier had pretty sweet backgrounds and dynamic gameplay (fine - you didnt play the game with instinct but rather could complete the predictable levels by rote) so i'd hope a 2d castlevania was more fluid in how the levels played
