    Thanks in advance.

Either the official MS High Definition pack, or a thirdparty Xbox component cable. The official one is the safe bet as thirdparty component cables give mixed as far as reliability is concerned.

You'll need a component cable such as the Official MS Hi-Def AV Pack:

If you also want to output 5.1 sound via a surround sound system you'll also need a regular optical lead.

ps. when you get your new lead (this won't work unless you've got a component lead plugged in) you'll need to go into the video settings in the MS Dash and enable 480p & 720p modes in order to get your Xbox to output in prog scan mode.

I have the same TV on its way to me and have an X2VGA and the hidef pack, which one is gonna give the better picture?

The X2VGA is a transcoder that converts component video to VGA. This conversion process produces signal loss. Therefore, using the High def pack with component cables offers the best connection.

I've got the 23" version of the Sammy and it didn't like my X2VGA+ at all. Kept getting a message aong the lines that it couldn't display the signal coming from it.

The set works fine with both my DC VGA box & PC though so guess there's something about the X2VGA itself it does't like.

Might not be the case with the 32" model though.

Eh? Ive been into ms dash but where do i enable 480p & 720p modes? All i have done is flip the ntsc switch and got a HD AV pack coming tomorow. Whats next?

Well, once you've use the Enigmah Videomode Switcher to patch your EEPROM to NTSC, it should be in the same menu that the 'PAL60 Mode' option used to be in. You will no longer get a PAL60 option, it being replace with 480p, 720p and 1080i modes.

OK im a thicko. Ive switched it to 60hz before when i got burnout 3. I can find it in the MS dash anymore.

                    I can find

                    clock
                    language
                    audio
video - in here i only have the choice of Letterbox -Normal - Widescreen
                    network settings
                    auto sign in
                    auto off
                    system info

You won't see the prog scan options until you have your component cable connected to your Xbox (it's hidden otherwise).

When you get your new lead go into 'Video' (the one to choose letterbox mode etc.) in the Xbox dashboard and you should also now see the option to enable 480p etc.

Hope this helps & have fun!
