Downloading now. I stopped playing BF2 due to the bugs, broken server browser, chronic load times, and general scuffiness... this new patch with Wake Island has renewed my interest, and if it fixes the bugs I could be playing for some time...

Reading through the fixes (http://www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/gam..._patch_103.txt), it seems they've fixed much that annoyed me (including getting stuck in shallow water, not being able to use the Commo rose when crouched and getting points for risking your neck to blow up the enemy UAV/Radar/artillery).
And finally, a nice sunny map, I was getting sick to death of the foggy, grey of the Chinese maps and the hazy sunshine of the MEC maps.
Hopefully see you lot on the servers soon. -
cool, some of the bugs really detracted from the experience (getting killed by dropping ammo crates was a bugger)
also, this was hilarious, taking out a copter by shooting its wheelsSet some wheels on jets and helpcopters to stronger armor to prevent them
from being destroyed instantly by AT missiles.
