Apparently the Pal version only has it's problems including no 60hz mode, black borders on vertical part of screen, too much brightness on cutscenes.

Does Jap Special Edition have English Subtitles to accompany the Japanese Language Soundtack?

Which is the better version to get US or Jap Special Edition?

I'd only go for the Special Edition if you've already played through the US version before. There's no subtitles (options and menus are all in English I think) and in one part of the game you have to follow some spoken directions through a minefield.

US version it is!

Thanks alot - there is no way i'm puting up with an inferior PAL release - extras or no extras - its the gameplay the counts.

Shame they didn't include the original japanese soundtrack in the US release, ah well, i'll probaly end up buying both US and JAP to make up for it...
