type in the name of any game you're having trouble with and see if you need to set any of the compatibility modes (go to the game name in the list and press select then turn on/off whatever modes). keep an eye out for theicon as that's the hdloader you have on your machine. if a game has a big red number over the icon that tells you what mode you need to turn on.
btw as you have the latest patched one, you'll notice you have about 8 compatibility modes, not 3. the first three on the list are 1,2 and 3 (slow hdd access, disable dvd9 support, then kill hdloader)
