I have been looking into this device, and have been very tempted to pick this up. Some questions though -
1) Obviously this has been designed for use with VGA monitors, should work fine on any TV with a VGA or DVI-I input. However, is there any point in using one on such a screen? I'm looking into it to try and get the best possible input from my PS2, as well as previous machines.
2) Is the resulting image from this on par with a native 480p image? Will the issue of whether a game supports 480p or not now become a null issue?
I'm assuming that this device should yeld superior results because it removes the task of deinterlacing from the TV, right?
3) Compatible with PAL 576i input?
